Factos come in pairs so you need really oly find 12 and the other 12 come along for free. Let me show you by finding all 8 factors of 24.

First I would factor 24 into its prime factors.

24 = 3 × 8 = 3 × 2³

so any factor of 24 can only have as its prime factors 2 or 3.

3 × 8 = 24 so 3 and 8 are factors of 24
2 × 12 = 24 so 2 and 12 are factors of 24
2² × 6 = 24 so 2² = 4 and 6 are factors of 24

I have 6 factors of 24 so what's missing? The easy one

1 × 24 = 24 so 1 and 24 are factors of 24.
