Question from jimmy, a student:

find the area of a triangle whose vertices are
(-1,-8), (-1,1), and (5,1)

Hi Jimmy,

One expression for the area of a triangle is half the length of the base times the height.

Plot the three points and draw the triangle. Do you see anything special about this triangle?

Penny
