Question from Julio, a parent:

My son has a box that measures 27X18X19 inches. We want to know how many cubic feet are in this box.

Julio,

You need the dimensions in feet and since there are 12 inches in a foot

27 inches =s 27/12 feet
18 inches is 18/12 feet
19 inches is 19/12 feet

Thus the volume of the box is (27/12) × (18/12) × (19/12) cubic feet.
