Question from K.:

I am trying to figure out the percent a student has accomplished some goals. My mind is drawing a complete blank...can you help!

Here are the figures I'm looking at making into a percentage:

Goal #1: yes=136, no=8
Goal #3: yes=131, no=13

Thank you for your assistance!

Hi,

You have 144 students and 136 of them have accomplished goal 1 but 8 have not accomplished goal 1. Thus the fraction of students who have accomplished goal 1 is 136/144 = 0.9444. If you want to express this fraction as a percentage multiply by 100 to get 94.44% of the students have accomplished goal 1.
