Question from Katherine, a student: How do I find the shortest distance from the point (3,5) to the line x = -2 |
Hi Katherine.
Draw the line on a graph. Mark the point (3,5). Where are you going to connect the dot to the line so that the connection is as short as possible? I expect you'll probably want to connect it at right angles !
