Question from Kim, a parent:

Complete the following:

2 to the power of 4=
2 to the power of 3=
2 to the power of 2=
2 to the power of 1=

If the pattern continues, 2 to the power of 0 =

Thanks

Hi Kim,

2 to the power of 4 = 24 = 16
2 to the power of 3 = 23 = 8
2 to the power of 2 = 22 = 4
2 to the power of 1 = 21 = 2

The pattern I see in the numbers 16, 8, 4, 2 is that each number is half the previous number.

Penny
