Question from Kristine, a student: how do you solve for a and b in this equation: a/5= b/7= 8/3 |
Hi Kristine,
This is not one equation but three equations
a/5 = b/7
a/5 = 8/3 and
b/7 = 8/3
Solve the second equation for a and the third equation for b. You can then check your answer by verifying that the values you found for a and b satisfy the first equation.
