



 
Orietta, They give the cost in square feet so the cost does not depend on the size of the tile. Your basement is 1,000 square feet and each square foot will cost you $4.15 so the cost is $4.15 × 1000 = $4,150. Each tile is 1.5 ft by 1.5 ft so its area is 1.5 × 1.5 = 2.25 square feet. Thus you will need 1,000/2.25 = 445 tiles. This number may not be exact since you will undoubtedly have to trim some tiles depending on the shape of the basement floor. I hope this helps,
