Question from Russell, a student:

find the following limit

lim x((e^1/x) -1) as x --> infinity

Russell,

If you rewrite

x (e1/x - 1)

as

(e1/x - 1)/(1/x)

then both the numerator and denominator approach zero as x approaches infinity. Hence it is a candidate for l'Hospoial's rule.
