Question from Sadie:

can you help me to find out how to cube a number
example (6 cubed / by4) =54 what is cube or how do you cube something

Hi Sadie,

To cube a number you multiply the number by itself (that's the square of the number) and then you multiply the square by the number again. So 6 cubed is 6 × 6 × 6 = 36 × 6 = 216. We often write 6 cubed as 63.

I hope this helps,
Penny
