Question from Stephanie, a student:

An isosceles right triangle has an area of 35 sq cm. What are the lengths of the sides?

Thank you!

One visual way to 'think' about it is to take two of these triangles. Pasted together on their longer side you have : a Square. You also know the area of the square (2 times 35).

I trust you can take it from there.
