Stephanie, If the tract is L feet long then 5ft × L ft is the area in square feet. One acre is 43560 square feet hence 50 acres is 50 × 43560 square feet. Thus 5 L = 50 × 43560 and L = 50 × 43560/5 = 435600 feet. There are 5280 feet in a mile so 435600 feet is 435600/5280 = 82.5 miles. Penny |
