Question from Tara, a parent:

Area of triangle is 4,018 square yards. Its base is 82 yards. What is its height? Thanks

Hi Tara. The area of any triangle is ½ times the base times the height.

Let h = the height of the triangle.

Then

4018 = ½ x 82 x h

Solve for h by multiplying both sides of the equation by 2 and dividing both sides of the equation by 82.

Cheers,
Stephen La Rocque.
