Question from Toni, a parent:

The following is a word pattern problem listed on my son's homework:
write a set of three-digit numbers that contain one odd number and three even numbers.
This confused the both of us because that would make his number a four digit number, right?
please respond. Thanks.

Hi Toni,

The question asks your son to list four numbers, each of them with 3 digits. For example his list might contain 473 or 320 or 345. One of these 3 digit numbers must be an odd number like 473 and the other three must be even numbers.

I hope this helps,
Penny
