pete, a student: The number 4641 can be expressed as the product of two two-digit whole numbers. What is the sum of these two numbers? |
Hi Pete,
Since a number like 4641 has so many factors, I would suggest first finding the prime factors. Once you have the list of prime factors, multiply different combinations of the prime factors together to find out which ones will give you two two-digit whole numbers. Once you find the right combinations, just add them together.
