Question from Abbie, a student:

I have two problems same topic. I belive they cannot be factored but i want to make sure.

x2+6x-40
x2-20x+99

Thank you, Abbie

Abbie,

I agree that the second quadratic can't be factored but the first can be.

Can you find two integers which have a product of 40 and a difference of 6?

Penny
