Bob, Draw a diagram and give variable names to the quantities that are important and unknown. Here you don't know the height of the wall so I called it h feet and you don't know how far Bob is from the wall so I called that distance b feet. You also don't know how far you are from the wall but if you knew b the you know you are b + 10 feet from the wall.
