Question from Ashley, a student: How do I convert yards to miles, specifically, 660 yards = x miles. Please show work so I can figure other problems out. |
Ashley,
There are 1760 yards in a mile so 660 yards is less than a mile, in fact less than half a mile (half of 1760 is almost 900). In fact the exact fraction is 660/1760 = 0.375 miles.
