Question from Debbie:

I just purchased 2.5 acres but must sever it myself. She sold me 2.5 acres, equal on all sides. How many feet on each side?

Hi Debbie,

There are 43,560 square feet in an acre so 2.5 acres is 2.5 × 43,560 = 108,900 square feet. If the lot is a square, that is all sides are the same length L feet and each corner is a right angle then L2 = 108,900 square feet .

I hope this helps,
Penny
