Question from Haley, a student:

Use the ratio test to determine whether the series in convergent or divergent.

(2/5)+(4/10)+(8/15)+...

Haley, when I look at (2/5) + (4/10) + (8/15) +... I see fractions where the numerators are powers of 2 and the denominators are multiples of 5. So I see

(21/[1 × 5]) + (22/[2 × 5]) + (23/[3 × 5]) + ...

so the series has terms (2n/[n × 5]).

Now do you see how to apply the ratio ters?
