Question from jamie, a parent: what is the next number in the sequence and what is the relationship of the numbers? 36,16,20,10,12, _ |
Jamie,
There is no unique answer to this type of question. One pattern I see in this sequence is
start with 36
decrease by 20
increase by 4
decrease by 10
increase by 2
So the increases and decreases alternate. Each decrease is half the previous decrease and each increase is half the previous increase.
