Question from JESSICA, a student:

HI I AM IN GRADE 7 AND FOR MATH HOMEWORK MY TEACHER ASKED US
TO MAKE 8 DIFFERENT TIMES(clocks) AND TELL HIM WHAT THE PERCENTAGE
FOR THE TIME IS.
BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CONVERT TIME TO A PERCENT.
PLEASE HELP ME??!!??

Hi Jessica,

I am not sure what you are being asked to do but I think you are being asked to select part of an hour and express it as a percentage of an hour. For example 10 minutes after the hour is ten sixtieths of an hour which is 10/60 × 100 = 16.67% of an hour.
