To mix 5 yards of concrete, how many loads will I need to mix in a 4.5 cubic feet mixer? Thanks, jon

Jon,

1 [cubic] yard = 3x3x3 = 27 cubic feet.

That is exactly six mixerloads since 27/4.5 = 6. [If it is your own mixer, you might want to remember that figure somewhere or even paint it on somewhere - you can use it again!]

So five yards is 5 x 6 mixerloads.
