Question from Kathy, a parent:

If $13.50 is 32% of a number, how do I calculate to find what 100% is?

Hi Kathy.

Let n = the number.

Then 13.50 = 32% of n.

But "32% of" means 0.32 times. So

13.50 = 0.32 n.

To find 100%, just solve the equation above for n.
