Question from kevin: Ineed to know the pds per sq ft of a machine that weighs 1,550 pds and measures 78.5 inches long x 32 inches wide. |
Kevin,
Change the dimensions from inchs to feet. 78.5/12 = 6.54 feet and 32/12 = 2.67 feet. Thus the base is 6.54 × 2.67 = 17.44 square feet. Since it weighs 1,550 pounds that's 1,550/17.44 = 88.9 pounds per square foot.
