Question from Kyle, a parent:

If a water tank holds 750 cubic meters of water and it is 15 metres long and 10 metres wide how many meters tall is it ?

Kyle,

The volume of a rectangular solid is the length times the width times the height. Thus

length × width × height = 750 cubic meters

or

15 × 10 × height = 750 cubic meters

solve for the height.
