A rectangle is 8 feet long and 6 feet wide.If the dimension is increased by the same number of feet,the area of the new rectangle formed is 32 square feet more than the area of the original rectangle.By how many feet was the each dimension increased?

The rectangle is 8 feet long and 6 feet wide. What is its area?

Suppose the new rectangle is x feet longer than the original rectangle and x feet wider. What is the expression for its area?

This area is 32 square feet larger than the original rectangle. Solve for x.
