Question from michael, a student:

100 m from the base of a flagpole the angle of elevation of the top of the flagpole
is 7degree 16'12". how high is the flagpole

Michael,

Look at Sue's response to a similar question. In this problem the distance to the flagpole and the height of the flagpole are given and you are to find the angle of elevation. In your problem where you have the distance to the flagpole ad the angle of elevation you will need to use the tangent function rather than the arctangent function.

If you need further assistance write back,
Harley
