Question from Nazrul, a teacher:

How can I prove that m(a+b)=ma+mb where a and b are two vectors.
Thank you.

Nazrul,

In the definition of a vector space this property is one of the axioms. It is sometimes called the distributivity of scalar multiplication with respect to vector addition.
