Question from ronald, a student:
i need to know if a taxi charges .20 every 1/9th of a mile
and i have to go 6.55miles
how much would that be?

Roland,

First, how many ninths is 6.55? You can break this down: how many ninths is 6, and how many ninths is 0.55 [assume the 5's keep repeating!] Presumably you know that 1/9 is 0.11 [repeating].

Now if each of those ninths of a mile costs 20c what is that in total?

Good Hunting!
