Question from seema, a student:
three equal circles each of radius 1 cm are circumscribed by a larger circle.find the perimeter
of circumscribing circle?

Measuring is easier with polygonal figures. So in a problem like this start by adding some points (centers of circles, points of contact) and some lines joining them. The problem should become a lot easier, especially if your diagram is neat enough to show symmetries than exist.

Good hunting!
