Question from Susan, a parent:

Find three consecutive odd integers such that the sum of the first, twice the second, and three times the third is 70

Susan,

I can help get you started.

Since an odd number is one more than even number you can write the smallest odd number as 2n + 1 for some integer n. The next number 2n + 2 is even so the next odd number is 2n + 3.

Can you see how to proceed? If you need more help please write back.

Penny
