Question from Timothy, a student:

I was wondering how many different 5 digit combinations are possible using 0-9 and a-z and you can use the same letter or number repeatedly in the combination.

Thank you

Hi Timothy,

Look at the response I gave to Jo a couple of years ago. She wanted 4 digit arrays and she had 6 digits to work with. You want 5 digit arrays and you have 10 + 26 = 36 "digits" to work with.
