Question from will, a student: You are serving 3 different entrees at a party. If 100 guests are having beef, 175 guests are having pasta, and 45 percent of the guests are having chicken how many guests are expected at this party? |
Hi Will,
Since 45% of the guests have chicken 100% - 45% = 55% of the guests have either beef or pasta. Thus
55% of the guests is 275 guests.
