Question from dana, a student:

1/6 x 5 x 12 = what

to multiply a whole number by a fraction, turn the whole number into a
fraction with 1 as a denominator. e.g. 5 = 5/1. To multiply fractions
together, multiply numerators and multiply denominators.

e.g. using BEDMAS

1/6 x 5 x 12 = 1/6 x 5/1 x 12/1 = 60 / 6 = 10

Thx,
L. Dame
