Question from Desiree., a student:

How do you find the base area of rectangular prism that has 4 cm by 4cm by 6cm ?

Hi Desiree,

The base is a rectangle and the area of a rectangle is the length times the width. You have three dimensions which I expect are the length, width and height. I can't tell from your question which dimensions are the length and width.
