Question from gill, a parent: if a car travelled 40miles at 50mph, how long would it take? |
Gill,
If the car goes fifty miles in one hour then it takes one fiftieth of an hour to go a mile. One fiftieth of an hour is 60/50 = 1.2 minutes. Hence in 1.2 minutes the car will travel 1 mile. How long will it take to travel 40 miles?
