Question from Jeremy:

If I have an area 50' x 1200', what would be the elevation with
80,000 yards of dirt on it.

Break the problems down

Area = length x width = ______________yd²

So 80,000 yd³ is how many cubic yards per square yard? That's also the depth (in yards of course)

As always, ask yourself if this seems reasonable (I think so in this case!)
