Question from judy, a parent:

My yard is 35 feet by 29 feet. I want to put sod on the entire yard. The rolls of sod are 9 square feet. How many rolls of sod will I to complete the job?

Hi Judy,

Your yard is 35 feet by 29 feet sot its area is 35 × 29 = 1015 square feet. Each roll of sod covers 9 square feet so you will need 1015/9 = 112.7 rolls. There is bound to be some wastage when you cut the rolls to fit so I would order a roll or two extra.
