a 149,000 estate is to be divided between two charities so that one charity receives 18,000 less than the other. How much will each charity receive?

Latoya,

Suppose the two charities received an equal amount. How much would that be? Suppose then that the first charity gave the second $100. How much more would the second charity have than the first?
