Question from Latoya, a student: a 149,000 estate is to be divided between two charities so that one charity receives 18,000 less than the other. How much will each charity receive? |
Latoya,
Suppose the two charities received an equal amount. How much would that be? Suppose then that the first charity gave the second $100. How much more would the second charity have than the first?
