Question from linda:

I am a potter. I want to convert my glaze percents into grams.
ex. 20% of 20 lbs would equal how many grams?
is there a formula to figure this?

Hi Linda,

20% of 20 lbs is 0.20 × 20 = 4 lbs. The task then is to convert this weight to grams.

You can do this conversion yourself

1 lbs = 453.59 grams so 4 lbs is 4 × 453.59 = 1,814.36 grams

or you can ask Google. If you type 4 pounds in grams into the Google search window you receive the response 4 pounds = 1 814.36948 grams.
