Question from Myya, a student:

What is the area of a hexagon with the radius of 10ft.

Hi Myya,

When you say the radius is 10 feet I think you are saying that each of the 3 diagonals of the regular hexagon is 10 feet in length.

hexagon

The three diagonals partition the hexagon into 6 congruent triangles. What is the measure of the angle BCA? BC and CA each have length 5 ft so triangle BCA is an isosceles triangle. What are the measures of the angles CAB and ABC?

Can you complete the problem now? Write back if you need more help,
Penny
