Question from Patric, a student:

Find the condition that the point (x,y) may lie on the line joining the points
(3,4) and (-5,-6)

Patric,

One condition is that the slope of the line containing (3, 4) and (x, y) is equal to the slope of the line containing (-5, -6) and (x, y). I think what you are expected to do is to use this fact to write an equation of the line joining (3, 4) and (-5, -6).
