Question from Rob:

How do I calculate the height of a rectangle that has is 16:9 from only the width?

For example a rectangle is 1000 wide, what is it's height if it is a 16:9 ratio? What is the formula?

Rob,

For every 9 units of length there are 16 units of length. Divide 1000 by 9 to see how many 9 units of length there are, then multiply by 16.
