Between the two middle odd integers is an even integer. Since it is even it is twice some integer. Thus this middle integer is 2n for some integer n. Hence the four consecutive odd integers are

1 more than 2n
1 less than 2n
3 more that 2n and
3 less than 2n.

What do you get when you add these 4 integers?
