Question from vera, a parent: building casts a shadow 210 ft. long, 40 degree angle.How tall is the building? |
Hi Vera,
I drew a diagram
I see a right triangle with an angle of 40o, the side adjacent to this angle is of length 210 feet and the side opposite to this angle has unknown length h feet. What trig function related the measure of the angle with the lengths of the opposite and adjacent sides?
