Question from WIlliam, a student:

I have a regular hexagon and all sides are 8 cm. I need to find the line segment
point a to point b. Point B is on the top left of the hexagon and the Point A is on the
middle right side, I know the line pass through 2 Equilateral triangles, I'm just not
sure how to do the equation.
Also how would you measure a line that goes right in the middle from one end to
the other

William,

I added a few lines to the diagram. D is the midpoint of CB.

hexagon

What is the measure of angle ACB?
What is the length of CB?
What does Pythagoras theorem tell you?

I hope this helps,
Harley
