I want to get the formula for expressing one number by summation of consecutive numbers .

Hi Mandira,

How you write the summation notation depends on how many terms you want. Let's look at the summation notation for the first consecutive positive integers:

For the first 6 consecutive even inters:

For the first 6 consecutive odd integers (notice that the terms do not have to start at 1):
