Question from Anna, a student:

The problem is 2n-2. find the nth term. I'm lost as how to even begin

Hi Anna,

I think you need to read the question carefully. I think 2n - 2 is the nth term. For the first term n = 1, for the second term n = 2, for the third term n = 3 and so on. Thus the first four terms are

2 × 1 - 2 = 0
2 × 2 - 2 = 2
2 × 3 - 2 = 4
2 × 4 - 2 = 6
