Question from Felicia, a parent:

Write the 2-digit number that matches the clues.
My number has a tens digit that is 8 more than the ones digit.
Zero is not one of my digits

Hi Felicia,

A two digit number is made up from two ONE digit numbers. In your case neither digit is a zero and the tens digit is 8 more than the ones digit.

Try an experiment. Take some one digit number as the ones digit. Add 8 to it. Did you get a one digit number? If so you have the answer. If not try a different digit as the ones digit and again add 8. Can you see now what the ones digit has to be?
